Imran Khan, the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf, saw his residence designated as a sub-jail, and his wife, Bushra Bibi, was relocated to Bani Gala under strict security measures following her 14-year prison sentence in the Toshakhana case. A notification was issued declaring Bani Gala a sub-jail for Bushra Bibi, with prison staff now stationed there.

Earlier today, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir sentenced Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to 14 years in jail in the Toshakhana case. Bushra Bibi’s conviction led to her transfer to Bani Gala, now classified as a sub-jail, with heightened security measures in place.

Previously, after the court’s verdict, Bushra Bibi was arrested and taken into custody by a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team at Adiala Jail. The sentencing by Judge Muhammad Bashir also resulted in Imran Khan being disqualified from holding public office for 10 years, along with a hefty fine of Rs 1.573 billion imposed on both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
