Khawar Maneka, the former spouse of Bushra Bibi, who was previously married to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has recently made startling revelations about the dissolution of his marriage and Imran Khan’s subsequent marriage.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Maneka asserted that Imran Khan disrupted his 28-year-long marriage with Bushra under the pretext of Piri-Muridi, a spiritual guide-follower relationship.

Maneka also supported claims that Imran and Bushra’s marriage occurred before the completion of Iddat, the mandatory isolation period for a divorced woman in Islam. According to Maneka, Bushra married Imran just one and a half months after their divorce in November 2017. Although the official announcement of their wedding was in January 2018, pictures were reportedly released on February 18 to conceal the marriage from the public eye.
Maneka further revealed his displeasure with Imran Khan’s visits to his house without consent, recalling an incident where he allegedly kicked Imran out with the help of domestic staff. Providing context to Imran and Bushra’s initial meeting, Maneka disclosed that Bushra was introduced to Imran by her sister Maryam Wattoo during a protest sit-in in Islamabad. Following this introduction, the two started meeting frequently in the federal capital.
Maneka claimed that Bushra would secretly communicate with Imran using a phone number provided by Farah Gogi at Imran’s request. Additionally, he alleged that Bushra would meet Imran at their house in Bani Gala without his permission.

Regarding their divorce, Maneka stated that Bushra separated from him six months before her marriage to Imran. Despite his efforts to reconcile, she refused to return and, eventually, Farah asked him to grant a divorce via text message. Maneka sent the divorce papers through Farah on November 14, 2017.
In the interview, he disclosed that Farah and Zulfi Bukhari, a close aide of Imran Khan, later approached him, requesting to change the divorce date on the papers and remain silent, citing Imran Khan’s ambition to become the prime minister.
