The Pakistanis lashed out at Careem Pak for trolling the skipper Sarfraz Ahmed after a crushing defeat from Bangladesh in Asia Cup. The journey of Pakistan in Asia Cup ended after Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in a crucial match. Unfortunately, the young team failed to give an impressive performance in the Asia Cup. The team was twice defeated by India in the tournament. They won an only match against Afghanistan after a close contest throughout the tournament.
The green shirts, however, could not make it into the finals of Asia Cup after a defeat from Bangladesh. The followers and supporters were disheartened after the poor performance from the team who outshined in the Champions Trophy last year. The cricket-frenzy fans expected the exuberant performances from the players. Amongst the disappointed fans was Careem Pak who took a dig at the skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and offered him to join them as Careem captain.

The tweet did not go well with the social media users. They bashed the online ride-hailing service for humiliating the captain of the national cricket team. Many bashed the Careem Pak for employing a dirty marketing technique.
Cheap marketing strategy by Careem. You have pending harassment cases by your Captains first resolve those cases. #DeleteCareemApp https://t.co/vNUoYwYzTc

Another user reminded the riding service of Sarfraz Ahmed’s achievement of being the only captain to lift the ICC’s Champion’s Trophy for Pakistan. “O bhai, you are Disrespecting our National Hero, He Is The Only Captain Who Lift ICC Champion’s
Trophy. #PAKvBAN #AsiaCup2018.”
Even Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Ali Raza Abidi was also displeased with Careem’s tweet and schooled them for shaming the national icon.
Ridiculing a national hero will only get you bad publicity. Bad marketing. #DeleteCareemApp https://t.co/RQDBeG2Fpj

Tweeter users expressed their anger with a trend #DeleteCareemApp and demanded an apology from Careem for derogatory comment about Captain Sarfraz.

After a lot of backlashes, Careem Pak clarified their tweet and said: “We were just trying to let them know that the doors to our hearts are always open for them.”

A clarification brought further ire from the people.
Your first blunder was to insult our national hero belonging to Karachi, and your second blunder is to justify your first blunder.
