Chakwal city gets world’s biggest Truck Art wall

The world's biggest Truck Art wall gets painted in Chakwal. This astounding feat was achieved in one month, and that too during Ramadan. The art aims to promote the city of Chakwal.

Chakwal city gets the world’s biggest Truck Art wall following the initiatives of Deputy Commissioner Chakwal, Capt (Retd) Bilal Hashim in collaboration with Pakistan’s creative art organization, Phool Patti. The organization aims to promote traditional Truck Art, which is the cultural emblem of Pakistan, globally.

A team led by founder Ali Salman Anchan worked tirelessly using their finest artistic skills to paint the wall as part of the Chakwal Beautification Project, an initiative spearheaded by DC Chakwal. The beautiful wall is located in the downtown area, Tehsil Chowk in Chakwal, and is ready to welcome visitors with a fascinating sight.

Currently, the team comprises members Amin, Shakeel, Mumtaz Ahmed, and founder Ali Salman Anchan. They kicked off the project in Ramzan and achieved the feat of painting the world’s biggest Truck Art wall within a month.

The wall painting features the founding father of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and philosopher, Allama Iqbal. The founder Ali Salman Anchan says the painting entirely depicts the culture, tradition, and flora, and fauna of Chakwal city.

Some of the highlights of the wall painting are cultural games like Tent Pegging and Bull Cart Race. Also, they have paid a rich tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

The entire concept of the Truck Art Wall had been conceived by DC Chakwal. He hopes that the biggest Truck Art Wall will promote tourism in the city with anticipations that the landmark will attract local and foreign tourists to the city generating employment for the local population. Besides painting the wall, the team has also worked to beautify the Allied Park in the city.

Phool Patti takes credit for promoting Pakistan’s indigenous Truck Art globally. The organization has worked with overseas Pakistani communities and diplomatic missions to promote the soft image of Pakistan. UNESCO had the organization as the best Creative Entrepreneur of Pakistan.
