The ISPR quoted the army chief as highlighting the constructive contributions of national media, civil society, members of the civil administration, and the judiciary in facilitating the successful conduct of the largest electoral endeavor in the nation’s history.
General Munir expressed hope that the diverse political landscape of the country would be well-reflected through the formation of a unified government comprising all democratic forces.
He emphasized that elections and democracy serve as instruments to benefit the people of Pakistan rather than being ends in themselves.
Furthermore, the army chief stressed the necessity for stable governance and a unifying approach to move beyond the politics of turmoil and division, which are incongruous with the aspirations of a progressive nation of 250 million people.
