Chilly and cold weather welcomes Pakistan Cricket Team to Christchurch, New Zealand. According to sports journalists, this is a drastic weather change for the players playing the tri-nation series in much lower temperatures compared to Pakistan and UAE.

Pakistan team played a seven-match T20I home series against England in hot weather in Karachi and Lahore. Cold weather as low as 1-2 degrees has welcomed players in New Zealand. Sudden change in weather is expected to be a challenge for Pakistan Cricket Team.

“Weather in Christchurch is damn too cold. A minimum of 1°C and maximum of 8°C today with the prediction of snow. The weather will further get better in Christchurch. The tri-nation tournament featuring New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Pakistan will be played around 14-16°C. Tough weather change!,” says sports journalist Arfa Feroze Zake.

On Wednesday, the Pakistan team reached New Zealand. The Pakistan team flew to New Zealand from Lahore soon after the last T20I match against New Zealand. 16 players and 13 support staff are part of the Pakistan squad. All tri-nation series matches will take place at the same venue.

Naseem Shah is likely to join the playing XI, whereas Shaheen Shah Afridi is also expected to return after healing from a knee injury. Afridi had missed the crucial Asia Cup 2022 and seven-match T20I series against England due to his knee injury. He was in London for his treatment and rehabilitation. He is part of the World Cup squad for the team.
