Amidst mounting pressure regarding the Panama verdict, bribery allegations from Imran Khan, and the submission of the Dawn Leaks report, the visit of an Indian delegation is being seen as extremely suspicious by members of the opposition and media.

Sajjan Jindal is seen as an intermediary between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi. It has been alleged that he arranged a secret meeting between the two Prime Ministers in Kathmandu during the 2014 SAARC summit and also accompanied the Indian premier in his impromptu visit to Raiwind in 2015.

Nawaz Sharif had been cultivated by Indian intelligence during his exile in Saudi Arabia.

This has caused a massive outcry amongst the opposition and PTI has already expressed its intent of bringing up this issue on the floor of the National Assembly. Previously, Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri, on multiple media platforms, claimed that Nawaz Sharif had been cultivated by Indian intelligence during his exile in Saudi Arabia.
