The Interior Ministry of Punjab has extended the lockdown in the province for 7 days.
According to the notification issued by the Interior Ministry of Punjab, the lockdown has been extended for 7 days in the province till April 14. The grocery stores will remain open from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
The notification stated that the period extended for the lockdown is due to epidemic of the coronavirus. The steps taken to prevent the coronavirus should be implemented on immediate effects.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced 20 percent fee waiver for all students of private schools of the province.
According to media reports, the relaxation has been provided for two months of summer vacations. Furthermore, the educational institutions have been directed not to collect the two-month fee at a time.
It is pertinent here to mention that the Punjab Cabinet had on March 24 approved corona ordinance 2020 to prevent the spread of coronavirus across the province.
