Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced a zero-tolerance policy against corruption within law enforcement, directing the implementation of a special audit system to root out corrupt practices. She emphasized the need for a special court-martial to prosecute police officers involved in collusion with criminal elements, with provisions for complaints to be lodged via the CM’s special dashboard.
Deliberations in the meeting centered on a comprehensive strategy to tackle organized and cybercrime, including the establishment of a specialized police unit and IT training to combat emerging threats. Additionally, proposals to fortify border security and establish a specialized police force for each crime were considered to bolster law enforcement efforts.

The meeting witnessed discussions on legislative reforms aimed at curbing crime, with plans to introduce the death penalty for perpetrators of rape against women and children. Furthermore, stringent measures were directed towards eradicating the culture of illegal weapons and cracking down on activities such as kite-flying, underscoring the government’s commitment to safeguarding public safety.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted plans to equip the police force with modern weapons, vehicles, night vision technology, and drones to enhance their operational capabilities. Ensuring effective action against terrorism, smuggling, and criminal gangs was emphasized as a top priority, alongside streamlining prosecution and investigation systems.
