COAS Asim Munir reiterates resolve to fight terrorism

COAS reminded us that as Muslims it is prohibited to fall into despair. He went on to say that youth is the biggest asset of Pakistan and they would not let anyone waste this at any cost.

COAS General Asim Munir while addressing the National Youth Convention at Islamabad expressed resolve to win the war against terrorism.

In his address, he said: “Pakistan’s future is in safe hands.” Army Chief in his speech asserted that the strong bond between the army, the nation, and the government guarantees the prosperity of the country.

He added that it is the state’s responsibility to protect the nation from the adverse effects of social media. COAS questioned the whereabouts of people who built a narrative of default.

“One should ask the importance of an independent state from the people of Libya, Syria, Kashmir, and Gaza,” he said. He urged the youth not to lose hope in the future of Pakistan.

Earlier, Army Chief General Asim Munir honored Pakistan’s Gold Medalist Arshad Nadeem at the Paris Olympics 2024 in a ceremony held at GHQ.

Arshad Nadeem won a Gold Medal in Javelin after his record-breaking throw of 92.97 m. The event was attended by the Sports team and National Hockey Team and other notable figures, reads a statement issued by ISPR.

“The COAS appreciated Arshad Nadeem’s remarkable achievement of winning Pakistan’s first-ever gold medal in a singles event and setting a new Olympic record, attributing it to his commitment, perseverance, and passion for excellence. He highlighted Arshad’s inspirational journey from humble beginnings to achieving greatness, emphasizing the importance of hard work and determination,” the ISPR added.
