COAS General Asim Munir’s Mother Passes Away; Leaders Offer Condolences

COAS General Syed Asim Munir’s mother has passed away, prompting condolences from political and religious leaders who offered prayers for her soul and support to the grieving family. Leaders, including the President and Prime Minister, expressed deep sorrow, highlighting the profound loss and praying for strength for General Munir and his loved ones.

The mother of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has passed away, prompting an outpouring of condolences from political and religious leaders.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow, offering prayers for the departed soul and support to the grieving family. In his condolence message, President Zardari conveyed his solidarity with General Munir and his family in this moment of loss.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also extended his sympathies, praying for the deceased’s elevated rank in the hereafter and for patience for the bereaved family. Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, expressed profound sadness, praying for divine mercy and strength for the grieving relatives.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah joined in expressing their condolences and support. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman described the passing of a mother as a great loss and prayed for her forgiveness and strength for General Munir’s family.

Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani also conveyed his deep grief, offering prayers for comfort and solace. Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui urged his party members to hold special prayers for the forgiveness of the late mother.

Condolences poured in from Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Shah, former Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, federal ministers Khalid Hussain Magsi and Rana Tanveer Hussain, and religious scholar Allama Kokab Noorani Okarvi.
