COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Forbes ‘75 most powerful people’

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, has been featured in Forbes this year’s list of  ’75 Most Powerful Leaders of the World’. The magazine has ranked General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the 69th spot.The success of General Qamar Javed has resounded internationally as he stands in the ranks with influential leaders like Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping.

According to Forbes, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been the fulcrum in sustaining the democratic setup in Pakistan. With his robust efforts, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has proved himself a staunch protagonist of democracy, ever since he took the charge in 2016. The magazine further credited General Bajwa for being pivotal in improving the diplomatic relations with India.

“There are nearly 7.5 billion humans on planet Earth, but these 75 men and women make the world turn. Forbes’ annual ranking of The World’s Most Powerful People identifies one person out of every 100 million whose actions mean the most,” the magazine said.”This year’s ranking of The World’s Most Powerful People highlights the consolidation of power in the hands of an elite few,” said Forbes Contributing Editor David Ewalt.

The success of General Qamar Javed has resounded internationally as he stands in the ranks with influential leaders like Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping.

The four factors were taken into account to select each of the world’s most powerful people. Those are how many people over whom they power; the financial resources they control; if they influence in more than one sphere; and how actively they wield their power to change the world.

The Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa is among the 17 new entrants in the list including the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad Bin Salman, who is vigorously transforming Saudi Arabia under his ambitious plans ‘Vision 2030′.

President Xi Jinping, the head of China, who is our strategic partner in CPEC has for the first time unseated the Russian President Vladimir Putin from the top position that he held for four consecutive years. Vladimir Putin has descended to the second spot in the list. President Donald Trump, head of USA is surprisingly the third powerful leader in the world. The fourth powerful leader is a woman, the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Markel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed on the ninth position in the list. He remains the most popular leader of South Asia. He recently won against President Donald Trump in terms of followers on social media.
