Coca Cola’s Fahad Qadir gets chosen for the prestigious ‘40 under 40’!

Pakistan’s talent is coming under the international spotlight every few moments and it makes us immensely proud to see our men and women succeed. Recently, Fahad Qadir, Director Public Affairs and Communications of Coca-Cola Pakistan, was selected for Asia Pacific region’s ’40 under 40’ list. This list honours 40 young professionals under the age of 40 every year as the next generation of leadership.

A record number of 1500 nominations were received this year from which the brightest, high-achieving young people in the marketing communications business were chosen. And Coca Cola’s Fahad Qadir is the first ever Pakistani to make it to the venerated list.

The listing was issued by Campaign Asia- Pacific – UK’s largest independently owned publishing group. Campaign Asia is a premium online publishing unit of Haymarket Publishing which is one of the most internationally renowned printing houses.

Talking about Qadir, the publishing group also released in their press release, “Managing corporate and brand public strategies, the 36-year old is also heading the company’s CSR portfolio. His focus is on water replenishment, women empowerment, and waste management. In partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, Coca-Cola Pakistan has become water positive, putting back more water into nature than it uses in its business. Qadir is also pushing to establish an industry association to find sustainable solutions for the management of plastic waste, especially PET bottles.”

For some background on Qadir, “Handpicked by top brass at Coca-Cola Pakistan in 2007 to join the company, Qadir started out as the manager of public affairs and communications and was promoted a few years later to his current position as director of the same function. Now, he leads stakeholder engagement on an ongoing basis with the government, media, social groups, customers and partners,” said the statement.

This year’s listing of ’40 under 40’ became more prominent as there were twice the entries as compared to last year which included various kinds of marketing and communications professionals. Fahad Qadir surely made Pakistan proud with this achievement. Like the publishing group said, “Like the bubbles in a carbonated drink, Fahad Qadir is rising fast”. We wish him the best of luck and many congratulations to Coca Cola Pakistan!
