During the proceedings, concerns were raised by defence lawyers regarding the difficulties faced by journalists in reporting the case. The judge addressed these concerns by inviting media representatives and Imran Khan to the rostrum and instructing the jail administration to take necessary steps.
Imran Khan’s Concerns and Requests
Imran Khan informed the court about the alleged contamination of Bushra Bibi’s food with toilet cleaner, resulting in her deteriorating health. He also raised concerns about the courtroom setup, emphasizing the importance of decorum during hearings. However, he requested a 10-minute interaction with the media after each hearing, citing the need to clarify misinterpreted statements.
The court accepted requests for medical examinations and directed Bushra Bibi’s endoscopy within two days. It also ordered the removal of additional barriers in the courtroom and addressed concerns raised by media representatives. The hearing was adjourned until April 23, emphasizing the need for a conducive environment for legal proceedings.
