Wasim Junior was not a part of the World Cup squad. Other cricketers of the Pakistan Cricket Team are, however, receiving flak on social media following their poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Pakistani cricketer Muhammad Wasim Junior announces his marriage. The cricketer shared the tweet on his X account breaking the news of his Nikkah with his followers.

The cricketer posted two pictures with a caption:” وَاَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوْبِـهِـمْ #nikkah And he has united their hearts!”. The Nikkah ceremony apparently held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. He can be seen standing in Ahram, a white piece of cloth worn by Muslim men during pilgrim, along with his wife in front of the Kaaba. The picture shows the back of the couple.  In another picture, he can be seen holding the hand of the bride. The cricketer apparently also performed Umrah with his wife.

Felicitations are rolling in for the couple on social media from friends, followers, and fellow cricketers. Wishing him on his Nikkah, cricketer Naseem Shah said, “Bohat Bohat Mubarak Khapa ye ka khushala.”  Shah also added a laughing emoji in his tweet. Meanwhile, the comment section is filled with messages of felicitations.

According to The News, T20 captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, and a few other players, who extended their stay in the US despite the team’s elimination in the league stage limited their public interactions and are only meeting people they know well.

This shift in the team’s approach towards fans follows a widely circulated video on social media showing Rauf, 30, confronting a fan who made negative remarks about him. In the video, Rauf, walking with his wife Muzna, becomes aggressive towards a fan accompanied by a group of youngsters. The footage shows Rauf running towards the fan despite efforts from his wife and others to hold him back.
