Bollywood actors and celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced pregnancy early Thursday morning.
The couple took to Instagram and posted a heartfelt note informing their fans and followers of the latest development. The baby is expected to arrive in September 2024.
This led to a flood of congratulatory messages from various celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Neena Gupta, Masaba Gupta, Vikrant Massey, Mira Rajput, Neha Dhupia, Sonakshi Sinha, and many others. The couple shared a delightful image featuring baby clothes and toys in pink and blue hues, with ‘September 2024’ written, indicating the expected arrival time.
Among the well-wishers, Priyanka Chopra expressed her joy with a “Mubarak (Congratulations)” comment, while Sonam Kapoor conveyed her congratulations with a heart emoji. Masaba Gupta also chimed in with her heartfelt wishes, calling it the “best news ever” along with heart emojis. Vikrant Massey expressed his excitement with an exclamation of “OMGGGGGGG!!!!” and extended his heartfelt congratulations to the couple.

Sonakshi Sinha commented, “Your best production yet!!!! So so happy for you both… congratulations.” Kriti Sanon wrote, “Omg (oh my God)!!!! Congratulations you two!!!” Mira Rajput dropped a bunch of red heart emojis in the comments section of Deepika and Ranveer’s Instagram post.
As per the report, there were speculations that Deepika may be pregnant as she reportedly hid her midriff at the 77th BAFTA red carpet. Deepika wore a shimmery saree and custom jewellery by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the event.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Italy’s Lake Como after dating for six years. They first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. They later also starred in Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
Last year in November, Ranveer and Deepika celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Belgium. Deepika had earlier expressed her eagerness for parenthood in an interview, stating, “Ranveer and I adore children. We eagerly anticipate the day when we can embark on the journey of starting our own family.”
