Imran Khan has been invited to visit Edwardes College Peshawar today (Friday). According to the details, the College Administration invited Imran Khan to visit and give a lecture to the students.
The college uploaded on its official website that Chairman PTI Imran Khan is visiting Edwardes College Peshawar on Friday, 30-09-2022 at 02:00 PM to address the students. Those who want to join, have been asked to register for the event.
While confirming the news, PTI’s focal person Azhar Mashwani said other great leaders like Quaid-e-Azam and Liaquat Ali Khan visited the historic college.

It will be worth mentioning that Imran khan’s visit to Edwardes College Peshawar will not be the first one. He visited this prestigious institute back in 1994 as well.

Criticism
PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan is currently on a mission to mobilize the Pakistani nation ahead of the general elections next year. After holding successful rallies across the country, Imran Khan has decided to directly address the youth of Pakistan by visiting them.
Interestingly, Imran Khan’s visit to educational institutes at the peak of his political campaign is garnering mixed reactions. While many Pakistanis express their elation at the country’s current most popular leader personally visiting students, many have also voiced their criticism as they believe that educational institutes should be apolitical.

Pertinent to mention that political leaders have visited educational institutions in the past. Therefore, there are calls that PPP and PML-N leaders – who are PTI’s political rivals – should also be invited to educational institutes.
If Imran Khan is allowed to hold a rally in Edward College, then all other political leadership should be allowed too, when other nationalist politicians are invited for a study circle in universities, then the police file an FIR against students, what is?#EdwardesCollegeRejectsIK

Furthermore, Imran Khan’s visit to Edwardes college comes amid the backdrop of the recent Government College University (GCU) in Lahore. To clarify, GCU hosted Imran Khan as a special guest for an event titled “Taleem Aur Hunar Sath Sath”.
However, the university became the target of intense backlash. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz went as far as to demand strict action against the vice chancellor (VC) of Government College University for allowing Imran Khan to conduct a rally on the premises of the educational institution. She said using an educational institution to spread political hatred is a crime that should be punished.
