According to the details, the report by Dr. Nouman ul Haq states that Shahbaz Gill – who faces sedition charges – had multiple bruises on his body.
“3 bruises over back to on left side measuring 6*0.5 cm and 4*0.5 cm. 1 on the right side. 4 cm bruise over the back of the left hand. 3 bruises over the right buttock measuring 6, 4, and 3 cm. 2 bruises over left buttock 4 and 6 cm each,” the report notes.

Torture on Shahbaz Gill confirmed?
The report was submitted to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and Dr. Nouman ul Haq signed an affidavit confirming the details of the medical report of Shahbaz Gill.
“I, Dr. Nouman ul Haq, Medical Officer, Central Jail, Rawalpindi: do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under that the contents of the accompanying petition and the documents placed on record are true and correct to the best of my knowledge, belief, and information,” the affidavit read.
Pertinent to mention, PTI, since Shahbaz Gill’s arrest, has been repeatedly alleging that he has been tortured, humiliated, and sexually assaulted in police custody, however, the police and government deny all claims. The police of the federal capital termed Gill’s illness “an excuse”, saying that the medical board had declared him “completely fit”.

A session court on Monday led the proceedings of the sedition case against Shahbaz Gill. Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal resumed the hearing of a petition seeking interim bail of the PTI leader.
During the hearing, his counsel said Shahbaz Gill could never think of committing treason, rather, the transcript of his statement was altered to misquote him. However, Shahbaz Gill is ready to address any misunderstanding and will even offer an apology to address the confusion.
