Major General Asif Ghafoor, the DG ISPR has hinted for a new drama featuring Ahad Raza Mir, on the occasion of Pakistan Independence Day August 14th. In a congratulatory tweet to Ahad Raza Mir on his engagement with actress Sajal Aly sent his best wishes for the couple.
Taking to Twitter, Ghafoor shared, “Heartiest congrats Ahad, Sajal & families on the engagement. Stay blessed.” In the same tweet, he also mentioned about Mir’s upcoming project, expected to be an Independence Day special.
According to Asif Ghafoor, Ahad Raza Mir will be playing Capt. Saad in the drama. “Millions of Pakistani viewers and your fans should be ready to see you on screen in a lifetime role for ISPR as Capt Saad during this August, IA,” DG ISPR revealed.
Ahad Raza Mir was previously seen in the movie Parwaz Hai Junoon, portraying an air force pilot also called Saad.

ISPR Movies and Performance
The ISPR has collaborated with several filmmakers to produce movies that propagate a message of the narrative of the armed forces of the Pakistan Army. The ISPR-funded movies overall perform well on the box-office and garner an affirmative response from the public.
Actors like Hamza Ali Abbasi, Shaan Shahid, and Ahad Raza Mir have been the face of the ISPR related movies. The first movie produced under the banner was Waar, featuring Shaan Shahid, Meesha Shafi and Ali Azmat. The film was directed by Bilal Lashari.
The movie collected an estimated Rs11.4 million. According to IMDB, Waar made a gross profit of ₨346.5 million at the box office. Yalghaar was produced in 2017 featuring Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, and Armeena Khan.

On the first day of its release, the film earned Rs17.5 million, while it made a total profit of Rs200 million at the box-office. Saya-e-Khuda-e-Zuljilal was released in 2016. The film featured Javed Sheikh, Firdous Jamal, Moammar Rana, Rachel Gill, and Noor Bukhari.
The movie was an action-war film based on the history of Pakistan. The movie performed meagerly with the total collection of Rs1.3 million on its release day. The film made Rs36.37 million (20.7 million INR) at the box office, says IMDb.

Malik was released in 2016 but was surrounded with several controversies even before its release. The film was written, directed and produced by Ashir Azeem, whom himself acted in the film alongside Farhan Aly Agha.

In a period, when Pakistan military is engaged in a war on terrorism on its soil, spanning for more than a decade, it extensively requires support and endorsement from its people to root out the militancy from the country.
