Earlier, the Mehndi ceremony of Shaheen Shah Afridi was held on Monday night. Videos and pictures of the event are making rounds on social media.
Pakistan’s fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, and Ansha Shahid, the daughter of former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi, are set to have their rukhsati ceremony, marking the official send-off for the newlyweds. The couple’s nikah, or marriage contract, was formalized earlier this year, with Maulana Abdul Sattar officiating the ceremony at Zakaria Mosque in February.
The pre-wedding celebrations included a mehndi event held at Afridi’s residence, attended by close friends and relatives. The groom, Shaheen Afridi, actively participated in the festivities along with his family.
The Baraat ceremony was held in Karachi earlier this week followed by the Valima reception in Islamabad.
