Fans worldwide are celebrating singer Diljit Dosanjh’s groundbreaking debut on The Tonight Show, where host Jimmy Fallon introduced him as “the biggest Punjabi artist on the planet,” according to the BBC. Dosanjh thrilled the audience with dynamic performances of his hit songs “Born to Shine” and “G.O.A.T.,” marking a significant milestone for Punjabi music on the international stage.

Excitement had been building since the announcement a week earlier, reaching a peak when The Tonight Show shared behind-the-scenes videos of Dosanjh teaching Fallon Punjabi phrases.

Fallon’s humorous attempts at Dosanjh’s catchphrase “Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye” drew laughs, especially from actress Priyanka Chopra, who quipped, “It’s the Oye for me.” Fallon managed the greeting “Sat Sri Akal” more smoothly, delighting viewers.
