In a tweet on Sunday, Pakistani actress Armeena Khan says her name is Armeena not ‘Armenia’ as netizens confused her name with the former Soviet republic of Armenia.

Armeena wrote on Twitter: “I’m not Armenia, I’m Armeena”). The internet users hadconfused her name with the country as the clash between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated last week. A Twitter user posted a hilarious comment on the actress’s tweet and asked her not to mess with the Azer-Bhai jaan (Azerbaijan).

At least 24 people have died in the deadly clash between the arch-rivals Armenia and Azerbaijan-a decades-long territorial dispute that escalated severely last week. The clashes triggered international calls for peace and restraint on Sunday.
Relations between the two former Soviet nations have been tense since 1991, when the Armenian military occupied Upper Karabakh, or Nagorno-Karabakh, an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan.

Border clashes broke out early Sunday when Armenian forces targeted Azerbaijani civilian settlements and military positions, leading to casualties. The Pakistani actress also called for peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia in a tweet on 28th Sept.
