Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, opened a swimming pool that has a depth of 60 meters.
Located in Dubai’s Nad Al Sheba neighborhood, Deep Dive Dubai’s pool has been officially verified by Guinness World Records as the world’s deepest swimming pool.
It holds 14 million liters of water, the equivalent of six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
One of the Deep Dive Dubai pool’s biggest attractions is its sunken city. Divers will be able to explore an underwater world, complete with an abandoned streetscape, apartment, garage, arcade, and other interesting features.

The pool attraction includes two underwater habitats with a dry chamber at 6 and 21 meters and it also has 56 underwater cameras which cover nearly all angles of the swimming pool. Not only this, but the pool also has sound and mood lighting systems.
Areas with large views on the lower levels of the floors of the building allow diners at the restaurant and other rooms to have a view of the underwater environment.
The pool’s fresh water is filtered and circulated every six hours through siliceous volcanic rock, NASA-developed filter technology, and UV radiation, according to Dubai Media Office. The swimming pool water has a temperature maintained at 30 degrees Celsius for the sake of divers comfort.
