Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra divorces husband on Instagram

Sheikha Mahra has deleted all the images of her husband from her Instagram account. Sheikh Mana also does not have pictures of Sheikha Mahra.

Princess of Dubai Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum divorces her husband on Instagram.

The post on her divorce said she was ending her marriage and divorcing her husband. The post read:  “I hereby declare our divorce.”

The post, which begins with “Dear Husband”, concluded – “I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you,” seemingly uses the Islamic practice known as triple talaq. “Take care. Your ex-wife,” the post on Instagram added. This practice has been banned in several countries. It allows husbands to swiftly divorce their wives.

Sheikha Mahra has deleted all the images of her husband from her Instagram account. Sheikh Mana also does not have pictures of Sheikha Mahra. The couple had their first baby two months ago. The couple had a lavish wedding ceremony last year.

The news of Sheikha Mahra’s divorcing her husband on Instagram has gained widespread traction on social media. The comment has been flooded with comments with people praising her courage.  “Bad news. God bless you,” a user commented under the post. Another wrote, “I am proud. Your Decision.”

Meanwhile, someone asked, “But the divorce will occur from Husband’s side, right? And Wife has to choose Khul’?”

Just a few weeks ago before the divorce, Sheikha Mahra had posted a picture with her baby. The caption read:  “Just the two of us.” Was that a possible hint at the trouble brewing beneath the surface?

She called giving birth to her daughter the most memorable experience. Sheikha Mahra thanked her daughter and the hospital staff for their care.

Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai. She is an advocate of women’s rights and holds a degree in International Relations from a UK university.
