Dubai to build world’s largest residential clock tower

The Aeternitas Tower comes to life through a collaboration between London Gate, a real estate developer in Dubai, and Franck Muller, the renowned Swiss luxury watch manufacturer.

Dubai is set to build the world’s largest residential clock tower named Aeternitas Tower. The tower is expected to be 1476 feet tall.

The building is four times higher than London’s Big Ben and 22 meters shorter world’s tallest residential building, the Central Park Tower in New York.

It would be the world’s second tallest clock Tower after Saudi Arabia’s Clock Tower in Makkah.

The Aeternitas Tower comes to life through a collaboration between London Gate, a real estate developer in Dubai, and Franck Muller, the renowned Swiss luxury watch manufacturer.

Acquiring a plot in Dubai Marina with an incomplete 106-story structure, London Gate recognized the need for a remarkable facade to complement the tower’s monumental size, as conveyed by Tom Hill, the developer’s media relations coordinator.

“We believe the clock will be seen from six kilometers away because of the sheer height of the building,” said Hill, adding that the clock face will be an enormous 40 meters (131 feet) tall and 30 meters (98 feet) wide.

“We wanted to do something different that hasn’t been done before in Dubai,” said Hill.

The residential tower will have 649 units, with a mix of one, two, and three bedrooms. The residential unit will have mansions and duplexes. The residential facility will provide hotel-like facilities to the residents.

Residents at the property enjoy housekeeping, concierge, 24-hour valet, and porter services. Shared facilities include a gym, padel court, spa, yoga studio, swimming pool, cinema, music room, and library, catering to diverse lifestyle needs. Residents will be able to live in this property by 2027.

Named after the Latin word for “eternity,” the tower draws inspiration from Franck Muller’s intricate Aeternitas watch collection. Erol Baliyan, Franck Muller’s Managing Director in the Middle East and Africa, highlights the watch’s complexity, showcasing an “eternal calendar.”
