Dubai’s thinnest skyscraper Muraba Veil is one-apartment wide

The 73-storey building will have 131 apartments. The building will offer panoramic views on both sides. Each apartment will span the full width of the building.

The latest skyscraper Muraba Veil revealed in Dubai is one apartment thin. The 380 m new skyscraper will not attract attention for its height but for its slenderness. These architectural marvels will earn it the distinction of being one of the narrowest skyscrapers ever built.

Situated along Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal, this structure features a striking 22.5-metre width. “Awe-inspiring yet understated, Muraba Veil rises from the dunes above the UAE’s most cosmopolitan and future-facing city, presenting a daring, stop-you-in-your-tracks spectacle,” the design team shared.

The 73-storey building will have 131 apartments. The building will offer panoramic views on both sides. Each apartment will span the full width of the building. In addition to these exclusive features, the tower will offer luxurious facilities such as a fine dining restaurant, spa, art gallery, private cinema, and even a padel court. The new tower is named Muraba Veil. Prices of the apartments start from Dh 18 million.

The developers and designers claim the apartments are deeply influenced by local culture. Apartments are modeled after traditional Arab houses. “This is more than a beautiful residence. What we set out to achieve is a life-enhancing work of architecture that reflects the heritage of the UAE’s built environment,” said Ibrahim Al Ghurair, managing director of Muraba. “We want Muraba Veil to embody serenity, the same calm you feel when you enter the courtyard of an Arabic home.”

We are passionate about ensuring our buildings respond to their place and belong to the native landscape,” said Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes. The stainless steel used in the design is promised to give Muraba Veil a sleek and modern aesthetic look.

Dubai is renowned for its modern and innovative infrastructure, blending futuristic skyscrapers with traditional Arabian architecture. The city is home to iconic structures such as the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and the Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island shaped like a palm tree.
