Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Babar Yaqoob Malik has said that the printing process of some 220 million ballot papers has begun under the supervision of Pak army which would be completed till 20th July.
The ballot papers that would be printed at Islamabad would be supplied to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During a press conference on Sunday, he said that printing of ballot papers would be carried out at three stations: Security Printing Press Karachi, Printing Corporation of Pakistan Islamabad and Postal Printing Unit Lahore. The army had already been deployed to printing facilities at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad by June 25.
The watermark paper with special features is been brought for the printing of ballot papers.

Each ballot paper will cost around Rs10 to print. There are over 210 million ballot papers being printed, making it the most expensive ballot paper printing process in the country’s history with a total estimated cost of over Rs2.1 billion.
He said while talking to media after inspection of ballot paper printing process, that the supply of ballot papers to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be made by air, while these would be supplied to Sindh and Baluchistan through road.
He said that about 100 million ballot papers would be published at Security Printing Press Karachi, nearly 70 million would be printed at Postal Printing Press and 30 million would be printed at Printing Corporation of Pakistan.
The ballot papers which would be published at Karachi would be sent to Sindh, Baluchistan and Southern Punjab. The ballot papers that would be printed at Islamabad would be supplied to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Likewise, the ballot papers, which would be published at Lahore, would be forwarded to Punjab.
