Elon Musk has welcomed another baby into his family. The 52-year-old Tesla founder had a new child earlier this year with Shivon Zilis, the director of special projects at Neuralink Corp.
Musk confirmed the news to Page Six, stating, “As for ‘secretly fathered,’ that is also false. All our friends and family know.” He added, “Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean ‘secret.’”

The sex and name of Musk’s newest child are currently unknown, as Musk and his partners prefer to keep their children’s lives private.
In September 2023, Grimes, who shares three children with Musk, posted on X (formerly Twitter) requesting privacy for her and Musk’s children. She addressed recent headlines about her co-parenting relationship with Musk and the revelation that they had quietly welcomed a third baby, son Techno, shortly after Musk had children with Zilis.

“Hey, I wud [sic] prefer to not breathe any more life into this current press cycle but I want to de-escalate the narrative atm,” she wrote. Grimes mentioned that she had a long-overdue conversation with Zilis, urging fans not to blame her and expressing excitement about their children growing up together.
Musk’s first child, Nevada Alexander, was born in 2002 with his first wife, Justine Wilson, but tragically died at 10 weeks old from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Wilson later had twins, Vivian Jenna and Griffin, in 2004 through IVF, followed by triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian in 2006.
Musk and Grimes’ first child, X Æ A-Xii, was born in May 2020. Musk then quietly welcomed twins Strider and Azure with Zilis in November 2021. A year later, Grimes revealed to Vanity Fair that she had another child with Musk via surrogate in December 2021, a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl.
The birth of Musk’s youngest child was revealed in Walter Isaacson’s 2023 biography about Musk, which also mentioned the birth of Techno Mechanicus, or “Tau,” Musk’s third child with Grimes.
