Engin Altan cancels contract with businessman Kashif Zameer

Altan has signed a contract with a Chaudhry Group of Industries as their brand ambassador. He had even visited Pakistan late last year on a visit planned by the company.

Dirilis Ertugrul actor, Engin Altan Duzyatan, has reportedly terminated the contract with Pakistani businessman, Kashif Zameer. Altan in his statement has cited, “non-payment and the company not adhering to the terms of the contract.”

Altan has signed a contract with a Chaudhry Group of Industries as their brand ambassador. He had even visited Pakistan late last year on a visit planned by the company.

“I have renounced the agreement with the Pakistani company to be its brand ambassador,” the actor said in a statement. The Turkish actor has stated that fake statements and misinformation were disseminated by Kashif Zameer, the company owner.

“Kashif Zameer has not fulfilled any of the conditions despite the period given under the agreement. The company did not pay even half of the amount as per the agreement. I have not any association with Kashif Zameer anymore,” his statement further added.

Ertugrul promises to visit Pakistan soon

However, the actor was grateful for the warm welcome received in Pakistan. He has even promised to visit the country soon. “I am determined to enhance friendly relations as well as mutual culture between Turkey and Pakistan. Inshallah, I will visit Pakistan again in person soon,” the Turkish actor further shared.

Earlier last month, reports circulated that Altan had canceled a business deal worth $1 million signed with Pakistani businessman, Kashif Zameer.

Then the actor had not given any reason for the annulment of the contract. Altan had also canceled his trip to Pakistan which was scheduled for January month. In his statement, he said that he would soon announce the date of his next visit to Pakistan, reported the local media.

The news was contrary to what Zameer had assured Pakistani fans in his recent interview. Zameer had assured that the deal would not be canceled and that half payment had been done to the Turkish actor in advance while the remaining payment would be made after the promotional advertisements.

The Sialkot-based businessman had said that he had hired a Turkish actor for the promotion of his company’s products that include textiles and glass.

The development comes a few weeks after the arrest of Zameer. Last month, Lahore Police had arrested Zameer on the charges of threatening a TV reporter, Hammad Aslam. Several reports claimed that Zameer has a criminal record, including cases of fraud registered against him.
