Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan aka Ertugrul visited the Embassy of Pakistan in Turkey to convey his greetings on the 74th Independence Day of Pakistan. He also extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Pakistan on Independence Day in a video message. Engin Altan Duzyatan wished his Pakistani fans in the Urdu language.
Engin Altan: visits Pak Consulate on Independence Day
He said, “Tamam Ehl-e-Pakistan Ko Jashn-e-Azadi Mubarak” (A very happy independence to all the people of Pakistan). The Consul General of Pakistan in Turkey, Bilal Khan Pasha shared the images of Engin Altan Duzyatan visiting the Consulate of Pakistan on the occassion of 74th Independence Day of Pakistan. Bilal Khan Pasha welcome Engin Altan Duzyatan and exchanged greetings with him. In his message on Twitter, Bilal Khan Pasha informed that Engin Altan Duzyatan would soon visit.

Engin Altan Duzyatan, also known as Ertugrul from Turkish serial Dirilis Ertugrul, expressed love for the people of Pakistan in his interview with PTV.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Pakistan for giving such a warm response to the Turkish serial Dirilis Ertugrul in Pakistan. The serial broke all records of popularity in Pakistan following its broadcast on PTV in May. The serial also made a YouTube record in Pakistan. He added that the cast of Dirilis Ertugrul including him got to know about the massive response to the serial in Pakistan from electronic and social media. Hence, he and the entire team of Resurrection Ertugrul is aware of the fondness of the Pakistani audience for the serial.
Turk-Pak Friendship
Duzyatan also spoke at lengths about his love and sentiments for the people of Pakistan in his interview. He said he grew up listening to the tales of a decades-long friendship between Turkey and Pakistan. Hence, Pakistan is dear to his heart. He said such a humungous reaction from the brotherly country made him emotional.

He attributed to the unprecedented popularity of Dirilis Ertugrul to the shared religion, culture, and history of Turkey and Pakistan. Engin Altan Duzyatan asserted that the serial became a raging success not only in Turkey but other parts of the world including South America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom. However, he added that due to the shared religion of Islam and culture, the Pakistani audience resonated well with the serial, story, and the script.

He said the series connects with the people of Pakistan in so many ways. “I think both Turkish people and Pakistani people love well-crafted stories. Turkish series are successful at conveying a touching sense of drama to the audience,” he said.
