The co-founder of Ethereum, one of the most prominent cryptocurrencies, Vilatik Buterin, has accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan in the future.
Bilal Bin Saqib, the lone Pakistani speaker at this year’s most important NFT conferences, including NFT NYC and ETH Barcelona, has requested Buterin to visit Pakistan for an Ethereum conference. Saqib is planning such a conference for the future.
According to Saqib, who spoke with Geo News, he also visited the Ethereum Community Conference last week, where he met Buterin, who kindly accepted his offer and indicated interest in visiting Pakistan for the conference in the future.

“I informed Buterin of our plans to have a conference in Pakistan soon, and he accepted the invitation, demonstrating a strong interest in the Pakistani market.” “The Web3 domain in Pakistan is a new phenomena that provides education and opportunity to Pakistan’s youth,” Saqib explained.

Bilal and Vitalic were both named on Forbes’ 30 under 30 lists in 2020 and 2017, respectively. The former was recognised for his efforts to improve water accessibility through his social company, which was the first to raise cash for water-scarce areas of Pakistan through NFTs. Their paths crossed during the Ethereum Community Conference, or EthCC. Bilal had earned a name for himself both in Pakistan and globally prior to entering the Web3 domain.
Bilal was also recently honoured by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with the Points of Light Award for One Million Meals, a programme he co-founded. In April 2021, he was also mentioned in the Pakistani Foreign Minister’s Honours List for his community contribution in the United Kingdom. Momin Saqib, a prominent influencer and actor, is Bilal’s brother.
After the Bitcoin Network, Ethereum is one of the fastest growing and most popular blockchains, with a market valuation of 187.739B. Since its inception in 2015, the price of ether has risen from $0.311 to over $4,800 at its peak this year. Since the summer of 2014, investors have nearly doubled their investment, with a ROI of approximately 300 percent.
