Ethnic Harmony Necessary to Promote Peace, Harmony Balochistan: Mir Zia Langove

Mir Ziaullah Langove, the Balochistan Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, stressed upon the need for harmony between Balochistan’s ethnic and tribal communities to promote development, peace, and prosperity.

Mir Ziaullah Langove, the Balochistan Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, on Saturday, said that tribal conflicts are a major obstacle in the path of Balochistan’s development and prosperity.

Addressing the leaders of the Mengal and Sanari tribes, Langove stressed on the need for harmony and peace between the various ethnicities of the province. The meeting was attended by Provincial Ministers Nawabzada Haji Lashkari Raisani, Assadullah Baloch, and other tribal elders.

Harmony for Prosperity in Balochistan

Mir Ziaullah Langove said, “We can all prosper together in peace if we reconcile our differences. Harmony between the various ethnicities and tribes is of the utmost importance, and will aid in promoting brotherhood across Balochistan.”

The Provincial Minister stressed the need for unity to strengthen cooperation between the various communities and tribes. He observed that the people of Balochistan are peaceful and loving. Langove said that certain “hostile forces” are attempting to jeopardize and create hindrances in Pakistan’s development and progress by stirring unrest in Balochistan.

Langove said that a peaceful Balochistan ensures steady development across the country, and highlighted that this the reason while “hostile countries” seek to stir unrest and uncertainty in the province. The Provincial Minister vowed that these hostile elements and their conspiracies will be nipped in the bid.

He said, “The government has undertaken several measures to facilitate peace in Balochistan, and secure the lives and properties of the people.” Langove said that the government’s success in improving the law and order situation has encouraged several major local and foreign investors to look towards Balochistan, paving the way for the economic growth of the province.

Addressing the question of the government development schemes in the province, Langove said that the government will make sure that all citizens are provided basic provisions and facilities. He directed all the concerned authorities to enhance security measures of the ongoing development projects in Khaliqabad and Kalat.

He said that the Balochistan government has a “master plan” for the development of the regions of Khaliqabad and Kalat. “A housing society will be approved to expand the region of Khaliqabad.”

Support for Kashmir

Addressing the issue of Kashmir, Mir Langove stressed that the people of Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to their Kashmiri brethren.

He said, “India has violated all the UNSC resolutions with regards to Kashmir. We would like to clarify that the current status of occupied Kashmir is not acceptable to us under any circumstances.”

Langove continued, “We stood with the Kashmiri people yesterday, and we are standing with them today. An attempt to undermine their right to self-determination will be opposed by us.” Langove demanded that the people of occupied Kashmir must be given their justified right for self-determination.

He said, “The sacrifices of hundreds and thousands of Kashmiris cannot go in vain.”
