Former PTI leader Faisal Vawda has once again expressed his criticism of Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ongoing long march.
While talking to the media, Faisal Vawda reiterated that Imran Khan does not need to hold the long march as he has enough popularity to easily win the next general elections. He said the public has come together in their love for Imran Khan and hatred for the PDM coalition government.
“Who will benefit from this long march? How will the long march benefit Imran Khan?” Faisal Vawda questioned. He also criticized party leaders for failing to gather a huge crowd for PTI’s long march.

“There are more school students present at the assembly than there were participants in the long march,” Faisal Vawda said.

Pertinent to mention that Faisal Vawda has been extremely vocal about his criticism of the long march. Earlier, Faisal Vawda’s party membership was revoked by Imran Khan after a contentious press conference that the party leadership disowned last month.
The party leadership criticized the news conference, during which he predicted that the party’s march to Islamabad would be “bloody,” and as a result, a show-cause notice was issued. Vawda was fired after failing to “reply to the notice within the given period” that was given to him to clarify his position.

On the other hand, Faisal Vawda’s dire predictions came true as an assassination attempt was made on Imran Khan in Wazirabad. The former prime minister of Pakistan suffered injuries to his leg after being shot at in a protest march he was leading in Wazirabad in Punjab. Nine other people were also injured and one person died in the attack.
The assassination attempt on Imran Khan caused shock waves everywhere. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Army, and other politicians and government leaders condemned the attack and called for an immediate investigation into the matter.
