PML-N’s Marriyum Aurangzeb is getting accused of corruption. According to media reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) are investigating the alleged corruption.
There are charges of misappropriation of public money, abuse of resources, and misuse of power by Marriyum Aurangzeb.
According to an application submitted to the FIA and NAB, Marriyum Aurangzeb, allegedly remained involved in financial corruption during her tenure as state minister. Media reports that the complainant is a PML-N loyalist.

As per the alleged complaint, Marriyum Aurangzeb received personal favors and financial benefits from advertising agencies in exchange for recommendations.
Moreover, Marriyum Aurangzeb supposedly spent about four million rupees on the renovation of her official residence, which was over and above the entitled budget. She also purchased properties in Sector E-11 and F-7 during her last days in ministry.
Additionally, the complaint states that Marriyum Aurangzeb keeps a fleet of official vehicles for her personal use as well as for her mother and other family members.
The media states that NAB and FIA are investigating the accusations against Marriyum Aurangzeb. However, the PML-N leader herself has made no comment on the accusations yet.

Charges against Aurangzeb: Not the first time
Back in 2018, NAB initiated an inquiry against Marriyum Aurangzeb for alleged misuse of her authority. It then accused Marriyum Aurangzeb of several illegal appointments, misusing her authorities.
Furthermore, the Punjab government booked workers of PML-N, including Aurangzeb, under terrorism and other charges for “inciting” the crowd to violate the law in Lahore and in other cities of the province.
Recently, Marriyum Aurangzeb has been very vocal regarding her criticism of the PTI government. She herself frequently accuses PM Khan of corruption. However, this time around, it seems as if corruption charges are against her.
