Fake Indian accounts reportedly behind online abuse against Hassan Ali

Pakistani social media users had expressed their anger against Hasan Ali in the heat of the moment but later came out in big support and sent him a message of appreciation. Cricket fans of Pakistan all over the world celebrated the journey of the Pakistan cricket team in the World Cup and expressed hope that they will continue to grow bigger and better in the future.

At this point, some Indian verified Twitter accounts were spotted spreading fake news. A tweet on one of the accounts read, that Hassan Ali is being targeted due to his religious sect and also because he married an Indian-Muslim girl.

Meanwhile, reportedly a score of social media users was spotted abusing Hasan Ali on his Instagram account. Fake accounts operated from India are behind the online vitriol against Hasan Ali.

Some Indian Twitter users said that fans have vandalized the house of Hassan Ali because he dropped the catch and his family is being mistreated and attacked. Another one said that one of his family members have been severely attacked with a knife.

While fans are showing appreciation for Hassan Ali, Indian cricketer Muhammad Shami was at the end of receiving harsh criticism and abuse on social media after India lost its first match against Pakistan.

Shami was targeted for being a Muslim cricketer. Skipper Kohli had to speak in favor of Muhammad Shami to end the vitriol against him.
