Fans, fellow cricketers wish Babar Azam on 30th birthday

Star batter and former skipper Babar Azam is celebrating his 30th birthday today. Social media flooded with felicitations for star batter Babar Azam as he turned 30 on Tuesday. Fans and followers of Pakistani cricketers are singing praise for the top player of Pakistan.

From sharing clips of his memorable performances to praising his marvelous cricketing skills, fans are sharing heartfelt wishes for the cricketer.

Babar Azam’s birthday is trending atop on X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram and Facebook.

Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Aamir Jamal, and Salman Ali Agha are some of the players who shared their love for the ex-skipper on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Shadab shared a photograph of himself with Babar, in which both are holding their respective green jerseys.

“Happy birthday @babarazam. May u have a great year on & off the field. Everyone knows ur batting class,” the all-rounder wrote in the caption.

Shaheen Shah Afridi wishing him a birthday on Instagram said: ‘Wishing you a great year ahead’.

Haris Rauf too wished him a birthday and said ‘ Tussi Great Ho’. Sharing a picture on Instagram, Rauf said: ‘Happy birthday brother’.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam has been dropped from the Test squad of Pakistan Cricket Team. Azam is not playing the ongoing second Test match against England. Management and the selection committee say that Babar Azam has been ‘rested’ for the series. Other than him, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan have been dropped from the team.

Azam has been struggling with his performances in all formats for more than two years now. He confronted several upheavals in his cricketing career in this time period. He was removed from captaincy but was later restored. The cricketer, however, resigned from the captaincy of the white ball format a few weeks ago.
