Legendary Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha expressed his delight over the wedding of his daughter Sonakshi Sinha.
Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her long-time friend Zaheer Iqbal. The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony on June 23rd, 2024. Following the wedding, the couple hosted a wedding reception in Mumbai graced by fellow actors and notable personalities.
When asked by an Indian journalist about his feelings on his daughter’s special day, Shatrughan Sinha responded, “Is this even a question to ask? Every father eagerly waits for the moment when his daughter marries the right person and starts a new chapter of her life. My daughter looks very happy with Zaheer, and I pray that their bond remains strong forever.”
Reflecting on his marriage, the senior actor added, “Forty-four years ago, I married my chosen partner, Poonam Sinha, a successful, beautiful, and talented woman. Now, it was Sonakshi’s turn to marry the man of her choice.”
The couple maintain secrecy over their wedding. Earlier, when asked about the news. father Shatrugan Sinha said that he is still waiting to be informed regarding the marriage. Meanwhile, Brother Luv had denied commenting on the subject.

Talking to Hindustan Times, he had said, ““I won’t be commenting. It’s better if you reach out to Sonakshi or the other person. All I can say is I have nothing to say on this matter.”
Recently talking about marriage on Kapil Sharma’s Show, Sonakshi said, “Jale pe namak chirak rahe ho. Woh janta hei mujhe kitne zor se shaadi karni he (He is rubbing salt into my wounds, because he knows how badly I want to get married),” when asked about her marriage.
In another interview, she said that she is looking forward to becoming the bride soon. In a conversation with iDiva, Sonakshi said, “Firstly, it’s nobody’s business. Secondly, it is my choice, so I don’t know why people are so concerned about it. People ask me about my marriage more than my parents, so I find that very funny. Now, I am just used to it. It doesn’t bother me. People are curious; what can we do about it?”
