Fatima Bhutto welcomes baby boy

Author Fatima Bhutto and her husband Graham welcome the baby boy. Fatima, also the granddaughter of former PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto announced the arrival of the baby on X.

She named her son after her father Mir Murtaza Byra. “Graham and I are so happy to share the news of the birth of our baby boy,” said Fatima Bhutto in a tweet.

In the same tweet she explained why the reason behind naming her son after her father. “We wanted to give our son a name that would bestow him with courage and kindness as he makes his way through the world. I wanted a name that would act as an inspiration to him in his life but also one that would cloak him in love and strength, a name that he could wear with the knowledge that it was given to him from deep within his mother’s heart and soul to protect him throughout his life, to give him in equal measure both grace and fearlessness, a sense of his homeland and of joy,” she wrote.

Her brother Zulfikar Ali Bhutto junior also shared the delightful news of the arrival of the baby. Sharing the news he said, “It is with great joy that I announce the arrival of my nephew, Mir Murtaza Byra, grand son of Mir Murtaza Bhutto. Fatima and Graham have given our house new light and our legacy a new beautiful spirit. Please keep our family in your prayers. Jeay Mir Murtaza Bhutto.”

Fatima Bhutto tied the knot last year. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Junior had shared the images of the Nikkah ceremony of his sister Fatima Bhutto on Twitter.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto said that the Nikkah ceremony was organized at their Clifton residence 70 Clifton in Karachi in the presence of close family members and friends. The event was kept simple keeping in view the country’s economic conditions. Fatima has tied the knot with Graham.
