The FIA Cybercrime Wing has launched an investigation into the creation and dissemination of AI-generated images and videos involving Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the President of the UAE.
Sources have disclosed that 10 social media accounts have been initially identified as being linked to the matter. These accounts are suspected of being used to upload doctored content designed to spread false narratives and negative propaganda against the individuals involved.

FIA officials stated that the investigation was triggered by a source report, highlighting concerns over the malicious use of AI technologies in creating misleading content.
The cybercrime wing is currently scrutinizing the identified accounts, analyzing their activity, and working to trace the individuals or groups responsible. Officials have emphasized that such acts not only harm the reputations of public figures but also pose broader risks to societal harmony and international relations.
