One of the most awaited cars in Pakistan right now is KIA’s crossover Stonic, and recently there have been sightings of the camouflaged wrapped CBU unit in Pakistan.
The car was announced to be launched by the end of the ongoing calendar year 2021.
However, on Thursday, Pakwheels has reported something exciting. In the picture below, the South Korean manufacturer’s crossover can be seen on a trailer in Pakistan. The media report claims that this seems like the company is transporter a locally assembled CKD unit from the factory to the KIA dealerships.
The reason why there is a great possibility of it being a CKD is that imported units were in Yellow and Blue in colors, as already seen in GVS’s previous posts. However, this right here is a white-colored Stonic.
This signals towards the official launch of the crossover in Pakistan soon, as earlier announced by the company.
So, let’s go over the features once, as the vehicle is expected to launch by the end of October, or in early November 2021.
Engine Options
In the international market, the car was launched in 2017 and came in four engine options ie 1000cc turbocharged, 1200cc 4-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated, 1400cc 4-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated, and 1600cc 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine.
The KIA Stonic comes in four transmission options, i.e., 5-Speed Manual, 6-Speed Manual, 6-Speed Automatic, and 7-Speed DCT.

Price
Here are some of the features of KIA Stonic, if it comes to Pakistan. Currently, no estimates can be made for the car, but it is around INR 9 Lac in India, so with the PKR-INR disparity, the car should be around Rs2 million in Pakistan, but as we know, the cars get much expensive in Pakistan.
However, Pakwheels believes that in Pakistan Stonic would be under Rs3.5 million for all the variants.
Exterior
Those who opt for the Stonic GT-Line according to an Australian blog will get LED daytime running lights, fog-lamps, special 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear diffuser with twin exhaust tips, and the additional choice of four two-tone color options: Clear White, Mighty Yellow, Sporty Blue, and Signal Red – all matched with a Black Pearl roof.
The car also has rear fog lights, speed variable front wipers, Welcome and Follow-me home light functionality, windscreen washer level warning, roof rails, rear wash, and wipes, among many other features.
The car has earned a name for being a “stylish car”.
Interior and Infotainment
On the inside, the KIA Stonic gets black cloth trim, an 8.0-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capability, multiple Bluetooth connections, rear-view parking camera and sensors, six-speaker sound system, keyless entry, high-beam assist, cruise control, two USB and two 12-volt chargers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a 60:40 split-folding rear seat.
The Stonic Sport specifically comes equipped with a smart key with push-button start, satellite navigation with 10 years of updates, electric heated folding mirrors, a premium steering wheel and shifter, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
