Four Pakistani soldiers martyred in the line of duty were honored with funeral prayers held in their respective hometowns of Kohat, Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, and Mardan.
The Pakistan Army confirmed that Naib Subedar Sahib Khan, Naik Muhammad Ibrahim, Sepoy Jehangir Khan, and Major Mian Abdullah Shah sacrificed their lives in separate incidents.
Major Mian Abdullah Shah, displaying exceptional leadership, bravely encountered a group of militants during an operation. The military had strategically established blocking positions to prevent the terrorists from escaping. When the security forces confronted the militants, a fierce gunfight erupted, tragically leading to the martyrdom of Major Shah. The 33-year-old officer hailed from Kohat.

Following the encounter, the forces successfully apprehended three terrorists and their accomplices. Additionally, a thorough sanitization operation is currently being conducted in the area to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorists. These efforts are being carried out under the supervision of the military to maintain peace and security in the region.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Naib Subedar Sahib Khan, Naik Muhammad Ibrahim, and Sepoy Jehangir Khan were martyred in a suicide attack near Miran Shah in North Waziristan. Major Mian Abdullah Shah, on the other hand, was martyred during an operation in the Shahkas area of Khyber District.
The ISPR stated that the funerals of the martyrs were conducted with full military honors. The ceremonies were attended by serving and retired officers, soldiers, relatives, and a large number of individuals from various segments of society.
Expressing unwavering determination, the ISPR reiterated that the armed forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicate the menace of terrorism at all costs. These sacrifices serve as a testament to their resolve and strengthen the nation’s determination to fight against terrorism, ultimately paving the way for a peaceful Pakistan for future generations.
