Freelancers: Unlock Your New Fast-Track Payment Option

Elevate attracts 50,000 Pakistani freelancers seeking lower service charges, secures $5 million to expand in South Asia. JazzCash reaches 11 million users milestone; US diplomat underscores industrial potential during NSCL visit, enhancing US-Pakistan trade ties.

Since its launch earlier this year, Elevate has seen over 50,000 freelancers in Pakistan join its platform to receive payments from overseas. Although the freelance community in the country is expanding rapidly, many have expressed dissatisfaction with the high service charges imposed by banks.

Elevate, a fintech company headquartered in London and Dubai has recently secured $5 million in funding to extend its operations further into South Asia. This financing brings its total investment, both equity and debt, from various investors to $10 million.

JazzCash Hits a Milestone: Surpasses 11 Million Users

JazzCash, a prominent mobile wallet and digital financial services provider, has exceeded 11 million active app users. The platform now boasts a total of 44 million registered users, including over 30% female customers. Additionally, it has garnered 17 million monthly active users, 300,000 merchants, and more than 245,000 agents across Pakistan.

US Diplomat Visits NSCL

A delegation from the United States, led by Acting Consul General Jimmy Mauldin from the US Consulate in Karachi, visited the National Steel Complex (NSCL) at Port Qasim. NSCL stands as Pakistan’s primary and largest fully integrated steel complex, employing environmentally friendly Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) technology.

Mauldin stressed the pivotal role of a robust steel sector in propelling economic growth and identified NSCL as a potential driver for Pakistan’s industrial advancement. This visit underscores the commitment of the United States to bolstering trade relations between the two nations.
