Senior PTI leader and lawyer Babar Awan has claimed that his party has reports of fresh attempts to assassinate Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan when he attends courts in the federal capital.
Babar Awan made the revelations while addressing a press conference in Islamabad surrounded by other PTI leaders. He revealed the complete plan of another possible assassination attempt on Imran Khan.
The senior PTI leader alleged that registration of “fake” cases against the former premier in Islamabad indicate that the actual plan was to grab and trap Imran Khan in the federal capital and “assassinate him by using a sniper or some other suicidal terror act”.

While recalling the murders of Salman Taseer and Benazir Bhutto, Awan said that the assassination plan for Imran Khan has been made in a way similar to these two murders.
“Formula of Salman Taseer and Liaquat Bagh (Benazir) being pondered to assassinate Khan,” Babar Awan claimed.

Pertinent to mention here that former Prime Minister Imran Khan has already faced an assassination attempt. Unidentified assailants opened fire on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container near the Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad last year, injuring six people, including Imran Khan and several PTI leaders.
The former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, suffered injuries to his leg after being shot at. The police later released a video confession of a man they arrested who they say attempted to kill the former prime minister.
The assassination attempt on Imran Khan caused shock waves everywhere. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Army, and other politicians and government leaders condemned the attack and called for an immediate investigation into the matter.
The attack was not only condemned by Pakistani political leaders, activists, and social media users but people from around the world also expressed shock and concern.
