Galaxy S24 FE: Same Camera, New Power

Samsung's Galaxy S24 FE retains its predecessor's primary camera but packs a punch with upgraded specs, potentially rivaling flagships. As anticipation builds, consumers await its late fall release, eager to see what Samsung has in store.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 FE is set to feature the same primary camera as its predecessors, including the Galaxy S24, S23, and S23 FE. This camera will have a resolution of 50MP and a sensor size of 1/1.57″ with 1.0μm pixels. While this continues Samsung’s trend of reusing components, it quashes hopes for a new or upgraded main camera on the Galaxy S24 FE.

The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to come with powerful specifications, potentially rivaling flagship models. It may be powered by either the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, depending on the market. The device is likely to feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options of 128GB (UFS 3.1) and 256GB (UFS 4.0). Additionally, it is expected to house a 4,500mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 4,000mAh battery in the Galaxy S24.

It might follow the release pattern of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE, becoming available in select markets towards the end of the year and expanding globally the following year.

In related news, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are confirmed to include new AI features and are expected to launch in July during Samsung’s next major Galaxy Unpacked event. This event will also introduce Samsung’s first smart wearable ring, the Galaxy Ring.
