Gear up Pakistan! Hyundai Elantra launching on Sunday

Pakistani automobile users for years didn’t have much of choice when it came to buying sedans; Toyota Corolla, Honda City and Honda Civic were the only leading local sedans available in the local automobile market. But we have some good news! Hyundai Motor Company which only recently entered the Pakistani auto market looks towards making its presence known in the market with the launch of Hyundai Elantra expected later this month.

The car is a compact sedan that is intended to go up against the likes of the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla Altis.

Hyundai Elantra is a no-nonsense car in the Hyundai lineup. The value-packed, compact Sedan has left its competitors miles behind in the race. Every Elantra bought is a veritable bargain considering the top-notch features packed in one compact design.

Elantra offers a smooth ride in general, and it’s designed for winding roads. Inside, this compact car offers a nice amount of passenger space and plenty of easy to use tech features. The engine lineup may be underwhelming, but considering the premium models and top-notch turbocharged models its a nice bargain. Elantra Sports is known to even make decent 201 horsepower.

Exterior

2020 Hyundai Elantra boasts an exquisite design; it features a wedge-shaped headlight with a clean front grille and front bumper giving it a stylish and luxurious appearance. The 2020 Elantra sedan portrays an interesting blend of a family car and a sports vehicle with its curvy design. All in all, the car looks quite handsome and sleek.

The 2020 model offers a wide range of modifications and upgrades. Like all latest luxurious vehicles, the 2020 Hyundai Elantra comes with Daytime Running Lamps. The headlamps are Dynamic LED Quad Projectors. The front grille is also quite different from other sedans already present in the Pakistani market; it’s quite big, enhancing the overall look of the car.

On the side, the car features side-mirrors with integrated turn signals. However, the most noticeable aesthetic element is the chrome door-handles that give the car a regal look. Integrated into the door handles are pocket lights that not only give the car a high-end feel but also come in handy in the dark.

If we look at the interior of the 2020 model of Hyundai Elantra 2020, it gives a comfortable, roomy look. The car features a smart inhouse infotainment system that includes multiple features such as Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, video playing mode, etc. The car also has rear air vents for dual-zone air conditioning.

The new Elantra has a unique silver trim which gives the vehicle a classy look. The colour theme is pretty decent; a combination of cream and black leather is used.

Engine and Performance

The 2020 model of Hyundai Elantra, set to be launched in Pakistan, offers a wide range of modifications and upgrades, Six-speed automatic transmission in the Elantra SE, SEL, Value Edition, Limited with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and much more. All Elantras now are equipped with modern automated emergency brakes, lane-keeping assistant and automatic climate control.

The instrument cluster includes all the vital information including speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature, etc. The steering wheel controls help the driver modulate various functions of the car including the sound system and cell-phone connectivity.

Price and Availability

Hyundai Nishat Motor Limited, the Pakistani dealership for Hyundai vehicles hasn’t officially launched/unveiled the Elantra. There are no pricing and availability details yet.

Hyundai Elantra 2020 is priced between the range: $18,000 – $22,000 for different trim levels in the US. This means the vehicle will cost the Pakistani buyers around Rs. 3.5 million to Rs. 4 million. So if you look forward to buying this sedan, you should keep in handy an amount equalling PKR 40 Lacs.
