Govt. lauds JS Bank for supporting Kamyab Jawan Program

SAPM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar visited the JS Bank head office in Karachi to appreciate the bank’s past performance and plans for the future. JS Bank has created over 5000+ jobs through the disbursement of more than 1500+ loans.

In a mega achievement, JS Bank, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing banks, has to date, created over 5000+ jobs through the disbursement of more than 1500+ loans under the Kamyab Jawan program.

As a result, Prime Minister Imran Khan recognized JS Bank as the Best Private Sector Bank under the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (PMKJ-YES), the flagship program of the Government of Pakistan.

Regarding this, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Usman Dar visited the JS Bank head office in Karachi to congratulate the bank for its success. SAPM Dar met with Basir Shamsie, President & CEO – JS Bank, and other senior management members to appreciate the bank’s past performance and plans for the future.

“Met President of JS Bank and thanked the bank for its support under the Kamyab Jawan program,” Usman Dar tweeted.

Thanking the Prime Minister and Usman Dar for their appreciation, Basir Shamsie said, “As a responsible corporate entity, we work every day to make a positive grassroots impact on people’s lives by supporting economic growth. Under the guidance of the Government of Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan, we are continuing our journey towards building a better Pakistan.”

Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme

To clarify, the PTI government’s top priority has been to empower the youth of Pakistan. As a result, the government committed over 110bn rupees to the flagship Kamyab Jawan Program, which will channel loans and financial aid to young Pakistanis.

In November 2021, Federal Finance Ministry chose the leading commercial banks of Pakistan for the disbursement of soft loans under the landmark Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP).

Important to note, easy access to loans under the Kamyab Jawan Program encourages Pakistani youth to move towards self-employment. It is worth mentioning, that according to the Kamyab Jawan official website, 64,108 jobs were created.
