On March 13, 2023, OpenAI released GPT-4, the latest version of its language model system. This version is available through a paid subscription that grants users access to the ChatGPT-4 tool. The previous iteration, Bing powered by GPT 3.5, had come under criticism for its slow results. However, GPT-4 has resolved this issue and allows users to communicate through text, graphics, and sound when using multisensory models.
The latest model’s most notable feature is its ability to create videos. OpenAI has also announced its plans to develop a ChatGPT smartphone app that will incorporate GPT-4 AI technology. This mobile app will allow users to create videos demonstrating the potential of GPT-4. The model produces results faster than its predecessor, and its responses sound more human-like.

Recently, the Future of Life Institute, an organization that focuses on technological risks to humanity, issued an open letter signed by numerous AI experts, tech entrepreneurs, and scientists. The letter called for a pause on the development and testing of AI technologies more powerful than GPT-4 to enable the proper study of potential risks.
The letter cautioned that language models like GPT-4 can already compete with humans at an expanding range of tasks and could automate jobs while spreading misinformation. It also highlighted the future possibility of AI systems that could replace humans and transform civilization. Microsoft and Google have not responded to the letter. Elon Musk has also expressed his concerns about the dangers that AI poses to humanity. He has recently criticized Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates for his work with OpenAI.
