Hands-On Image of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Surfaces

Leaked images suggest the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature prominent bezels and a familiar camera island design, resembling recent Galaxy S series. This hints at a cautious approach to innovation in its design.

Yesterday, a leaked image revealed the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, highlighting its noticeable bezels. Today, another leak provides a sneak peek at its rear. However, the complete view remains obscured, showing only a fraction of the upper portion.

However, this sneak peek showcases the corner angles, reminiscent of Samsung’s recent Ultras from the Galaxy S series, featuring the recognizable camera island design typical of Samsung devices.

Again, the cameras will be arranged vertically, which is a common feature for the company. However, unlike the recent trend observed in its non-folding phones, there’s a small connecting island between the cameras. This design is reminiscent of last year’s Galaxy Z Fold5, although the oval-shaped island beneath the cameras seems less prominent this time.
A quick glance at the back immediately identifies it as a Samsung device. While this familiarity is undoubtedly advantageous for the brand, it also implies sticking to a well-known design rather than exploring more innovative directions.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 is anticipated to feature thick bezels despite being Samsung’s priciest phone. The camera islands on the Galaxy Z Fold6 are expected to be larger than those on the Fold 5, with noticeable new rings encircling them, as shown in the leaked image. Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in July at its upcoming Unpacked event, where it will likely share the spotlight with other devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 series, and Galaxy Ring. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and Slim may launch later this year or in early 2025.
