The 3rd generation Kia Sorento, which is a 7 seater luxurious SUV.
At an exclusive event in February 2021 in Karachi called “Kia PowerPlay”, Kia unveiled the three variants of the Sorento 2021 for the Pakistani auto market, namely the 2.4L Front Wheel Drive (FWD), the 2.4L All Wheel Drive (AWD), and the 3.5L Front Wheel Drive (FWD).
While in many other countries, KIA Sorento’s 4th edition is being used, Pakistan has the third edition being sold in the country.
So, here are the features of the luxurious 7-seater SUV.
Engine
The 2.4L / G4KE Theta II MPi is an inline 4 engine, which produces 169 hp and 220 Nm Torque, mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 3.5L / G6DC Lambda II MPi is a V6 engine, which produces 276 hp and 336 Nm Torque, mated with 8-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior
The 3rd generation KIA Sorento is a uni-body 7-seater SUV. It is 189″ long, 74.4″ wide, and height of around 66″. It has a better ground clearance than KIA Sportage; the Sorento sits at around 7.3″.
Sorento comes with projector headlamps with LED taillights to give it a modern and luxurious look. It also comes packed with halogen combination lamps and a classy tiger-nose grill at the front. The SUV has a silver lining on the doors — outlining the windows. This gives the SUV a sporty and classy look, like a high-end vehicle.

Interior
KIA Sorento comes with a powered driver and passenger front seat, while 40/20/40 second-row seats and 50/50 split third-row seats will be available. KIA offers both leather and fabric seats for customers to choose from. A panoramic roof and a power tailgate are also available.
Along with that, the vehicle comes with steering wheel controls, cell phone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, 7″ or 8″ infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay Integrations, cruise control, rain sensor, and power-folding side-view mirrors to name a few.
Safety Features
According to the website, the safety features include a 6-airbag SRS system, Hill Start Assist, Toyota Vehicle Stability Control, ABS. The car also comes with rear and front Parking Sensors.
Price
According to Pakwheels, as of 30th June, the 3rd generation Kia Sorento in Pakistan would cost Rs70.0 to Rs84.0 lacs.
