Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha distributed knives among the students of class 10 to 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hindu Mahasabha leader, Vinayak Sarvarkar, on Tuesday.
Mahasabha’s spokesperson Ashok Pandey stated that Sarvarkar’s dream was a “Rajniti ka Hindukaran and Hinduon ka sanikikaran” (Hinduisation of politics and militarisation of Hindus).
I want them to feel strong and independent, and to protect to their sisters and family members
He further said: “Modiji has fulfilled the first part of his dream with his landslide victory in Lok Sabha polls. We are now fulfilling the other part by distributing knives and creating Hindu soldiers. If Hindus want to protect themselves and their nation, they should learn how to use weapons.”
The party’s national secretary Pooja Shakun Pandey, explained that the knives were distributed to empower the youth to protect themselves.
Violent Hinduvta Mindset
Pandey, who made news earlier this year posing for photographs with a pistol in her hand shooting at an effigy of Mahatma Gandhi, disclosed how she distributed the knives along with a copy of the Bhagwat Gita to minor children, who have performed well in their exams.
“I want them to feel strong and independent, and to protect to their sisters and family members,” she said.

The right-wing Hindu nationalist party has also demanded the pictures of Gandhi to be replaced with the picture of social reformer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on the currency note.

The party claimed that Sarvarkar played a great role in India’s freedom and hence he should be paid respect by featuring him on the currency notes on knives distributing ceremony. They made a similar demand last year as well.
The right-wing Hindu nationalists are elated with Narendra Modi’s sweeping victory in the current General Elections in India. The BJP-led government has retained power for the next five years.
